E-N-T Permit Fly

Step #1

1) Slide the Eyes-n-Tubes “Y” tube onto the hook.  *note how low the eyes are below the hook.

Step #2

2) Tie approximately 15 strands of orange bucktail onto the bend end of the hook.

Step #3

3) Add 2  6cm pieces of rootbeer crystal flash over the orange bucktail.

Step #4

4) Tie 2 pieces of orange/black rubber legs onto the top side of the hook.  Leave approx. 5cm out past the bend end over the bucktail and crystal flash.

Step #5

5) Extend your base layer of thread toward the eye end of the hook in preparation for the eyes.

Step #6

6) Add a dab of cement where the eyes are to be located.

Step #7

7) Slide the eyes forward  *Note: Push them forward to a location that lifts the rubber legs to a desired elevated position.

Step #8

8) Tie the eyes securely in place and shape the body.

Step #9

9) Add 3 pieces of ostrich and 2 pieces of pearl hollow braid to the hook just behind the rubber legs.

Step #10

10) Wrap the ostrich toward the eye end of the hook.

Step #11

11) Secure the ostrich.

Step #12

 12) Pull the hollow braid tightly over the ostrich and tie down approx. 1/8″ away from the eye of the hook.

Step #13

 13) Tie 1 piece of zonker rabbit per side.  Whip finish and glue.

-Size 5.4 gr,  20mm length Eyes-n-Tubes “Y”-tube eyes
-Size 1 saltwater hook
-Orange bucktail (or craft hair)
-Orange/black rubber legs
-Rootbeer crystal flash
-Ostrich hearl – tan/beige
-Hollow braid (pearl)
-White thread
